One week and counting...

I gave in my notice this morning and asked to leave next friday so that i could start my new job on the 10th December.

It was soooo good to give in my notice, i really can't tell you! I was smiling from ear to ear. I was told that the notice period was really short and that it would be likely that they will not be able to agree to it. So that deflated my ego! I said to them that i had contacted personnel and they advised me that it would usually be 4 weeks, but it can be reduced due to managers discretion. So i thought "yeh" and i approached armed with my new information.

They did not seemed convinced, so after deliberations between my manager and 2 senior managers, they finally made their decision.......

I AM FREE!!!!! They said yes and i can leave on the 7th of December! I feel like i am floating on air at the moment, i am really, really happy!
