Happy Easter!!

I am exhausted! Phil was working away from monday until thursday dinner time, so i hadn't seen him pretty much all week. When he came home we sat down for tea and he asked me what i thought of the flooring..."what about it?" i said. "Well i was wondering whether you fancied ripping the carpet up and putting wood flooring down?". I was a little against it at first because i like having carpet and i like sitting on the floor to eat pizza (strange i know) and i don't think you can do that with wood floors. Anyway, i was finally swayed into the idea as i said i would only get it if we could have rustic floors and not the average laminate that you can get and Phil agreed and said that was what he wanted.

So anyway we were up early yesterday and we went shopping, we picked up the flooring we wanted and got 20% off it as well (must have been a sign), got all the underlay etc. We went to Currys as well and picked a surround sound for the living room and couple of other bits. We got home and we got a call!......Phil's friend needed help moving house - Nooooo not again! Everytime we have plans to do something, someone we know is moving house and needs our help! haha. So we ended up helping move some furniture and we finally got home. Placed all the flooring in the house and ended up just staring at it, we looked at each other as if to say "now what?". In the end Phil called his friend we had just helped and he agreed to help us lay the floor. So as i am typing this (in the corner of the dining room amongst all the furniture from the livingroom, pretending to be busy) the lads are slaving away laying the floor! haha. "Brew lads?" hahaha

Once the livingroom is done, it will look really nice and we have a DVD ready for later to watch! We have decided to do the house up a bit, room by room! I was going to sort the spare room out as it is full of laundry but i got bored up there on my own! Phil bought me some oriental Lillies, my favourite (probably saying thanks for me letting him get his own way!) hehe. The truth is, i don't mind the flooring as i wanted new carpets anyway because Phil and is manky work boots have ruined the other carpet, so anything is good enough as long as our house starts feeling the part.

I like both. Wooden floors look nice but carpet feels nice...

Wooden Floors and a rug would be perfect!

Flooring is a man's job Hayley! Let them get on with it. Point out their mistakes. And make them a nice cuppa later

xx

I like eating pizza on the carpet too! I like the feel of carpet on my feet, so cozy and warm.
