A couple of weeks ago me and Phil were invited to go on a Cains Brewery Tour and Pub Crawl. We were going with Jenny and Geoff and a few other friends. There was about 25 of us altogether. We all met at the Brewery Tap at 6 and the tour started at 6.30.We first went to the Brewery to Tour around it and to see how the ale which was quite interesting, apparently Liverpool used to be the drunkest place in Europe! No changes there then! haha

e plan after the tour was to drink 2 pints of real Cains beer and then on to 8 local pubs to drink more traditional ale. I was now wishing that i had wore flat shoes instead of the high heels i was wearing. Each pub was miles away, but that was part of the fun!

It was strange this pub crawl becuase i didn't feel like we were in Liverpool at all. Maybe because we went to pubs we have never been to and probably not have until last night.
Although i am not a beer drinker, i really enjoyed the "Real Ale" and it was an overall interesting experience. Some of the pubs were like drinking in your front room, but back in the day when pubs were starting up, they were converted houses. 1 in 7 houses was a Public House.
I liked the last pub the best, it was called The Swan Inn. It's a place for Goths, Punk and rock lovers and it was absolutely brilliant. I felt right at home, after all i did wear a punky off the shoulder top and a diamante encrusted skull and crossbones chain!! haha ROCK ON! We called it a night after 12.30 pm and made our way home. Phil had to be in work for 4am.
