London Christmas Do

Our Christmas night out was in London, so me and Sarah travelled down on the train. Our tickets were on the standard coach and in the station we went to M&S and bought a sandwich, crisps and a lemon cheesecake each and as soon as we sat down started to dig into our little picnic. We had plastic cutlery and were going to use the sandwich box as a plate and then a guy came over to us and i thought "oh no, aren't we allowed to eat?" but he came over and asked whether we were together? "Yeh" and he said "well would you like to go and sit in 1st class?" "YEH!". So the guy moved us to 1st class and told us to help ourselves to food and drinks.
It was such a nice surprise, what luck!! So we sat there in 1st class and chilled out. We have crockery and metal knives and forks - HEAVEN! The trolley came round and we had tea and coffee and some snacks for the journey.
We gabbed the whole way there and one of our Taxi customers picked us up from the station and took us to the hotel and didn't charge us a penny! Another bonus!!
The hotel was ok, quite standard, but a room is a room! I plugged my MP3 into my mini speakers and let the music get us in the mood to get ready. I cracked open the bottle of Malibu i had in my case and poured us some drinks in the plastic cups they give you for your toothbrushes! haha
We were ready for 7pm and went to meet our work colleagues for the first time. It was really nerve racking, but when we got there, it was fine, everyone was so nice. The wine was flowing, we all got on so well. The meal was in a place called Bonds and i had pre-ordered a cray fish salad, turkey dinner and plum pudding and it was all gorgeous! I was quite surprised.
Everyone seemed to start crying off and going home around 11 which was disappointing, there was only 4 of us left at the end of the night. We got back to the hotel at around 1.30am. It was a really good night, although it would have been nicer if they had all stayed out! When they all come up to Liverpool to visit we will show them what a night out is and will be the last standing AGAIN! haha
