Where's the food?

The view from the restaurant was amazing! It was a really nice place, we were treated like royalty. We sat at the lounge area and had some drinks and mulled over the menu. We were seated by a really nice french waiter.

The meal started off with something called "amuse-bouche" which is "amusement for the mouth" so he said. It was basically an onion soup, they served this with little mini bread loafs. It was really nice actually. Then came the starters, i ordered Pork - Braised cheek, braeburn apple, green lentil jus. That was really nice, i was quite suprised, Phil had Skate, Jen had this weird pate thing and i think Geoff had the same as me.

For our main meal, me and Phil had Lamb - Braised Rump, sweatbreads, kidney, piqullos, and bulgar wheat. I didn't have a clue what any of all that other stuff was, just the meat and kidney! Jen had Monkfish and squid and this will make you laugh......Geoff ordered the most bizarre thing on the menu.....Dublin Bay Prawns.....! Now you are thinking this isn't a big deal, but this consisted of:

Slow cooked Pork Belly, ok, THEN!!...EARS & TROTTERS and on the side wilted greens & prawns! What the hell is that all about!? Trotters? Anyway, once we all stopped laughing at what was on his plate, we all got stuck in. What he had was really measly, one bite and it was all gone. He ended up finishing the bread that was left over, because he was that hungry! My lamb was amazing and i really enjoyed it. As it is "A La Carte" i was expecting it to be quite small, but it was quite ridiculous. The veg was served in a little tiny square, i think if they gave extra options like side orders of potatoes or veg, it would have been perfect!

The waiter popped over during the meal and said "i am dying to ask him", we said "what?, who?" he said "Harry over there, i need to ask him if he is staying with Liverpool". When we looked over, we noticed that Harry Kewell (plays for Liverpool FC) and Sheree Murphy were sitting there eating at the next table to us! Sheree looked lovely pregnant!

Once we had a few more drinks and ate our meal, we made our way back to the lounge and carried on drinking, we had a laugh!!!
